"Envy (how come she gets the good drugs?"

Yeah, right, you have absolutely no idea. I am a cancer survivor who has been on several very serious narcotics and opiates at different times (fortunately none since 10 days after my last abdominal surgery in 2002)..... I would not have considered driving even down the block after taking any kind of narcotic or opiate, never mind after mixing them with alcohol (which can dramatically boost the effects for many people, I believe, although I have not tried the experiment). I have not a trace of envy for anyone taking any kind of narcotic or opiate because I sure don't want to take them again.

As for how much she took and when she took it, we have only her word that she took one Vicodin right at the end of the meal as she was leaving. You want to believe that someone who would pop a Vicodin with alcohol and then drive and is then trying to beat the legal rap must be an accurate testimonial to what she took and when. I do not believe her. Since I am not inclined to trust her story I don't accept that claim at face value. But I don't "know" when she took it (or more than one pill) and neither do you -- I just don't happen to think the "businessman" who everyone seems to despise took it upon himself to belief someone was substance-impaired based upon nothing at all.

I don't happen to think that someone who is dumb enough (or addicted enough) to mix alcohol and Vicodin/hydrocodone and then drive with her child in the car is a reliable guide to what she took and when. If she acted loopy, I'm thinking maybe she was looped enough for that guy to be very concerned -- but obviously you know better.

Some want to focus solely on the legal and privacy issues - I am focused on the fact that someone who admittedly mixes alcohol and hydrocodone (by her own statement, which tries to minimize the amounts involved) is not someone who should be behind the wheel of a car.

The results from the blood test showed she had one vicodin in her system and the alcohol equivalent of a half glass of wine(.022). You don’t have to take her word for it, the blood test tells the truth.
