I agree. Red Bulls and what not are just as bad. People whi drive for a living LEO’s, truck drivers etc... play a dangerous game.
I’m having problems understanding why a bad set of dentures have to be surgically removed. Don’t you take dentures out everynight before you go to bed?
She'd had only one glass of wine. She'd been the designated driver. If she was the designated driver, she should not have had even one glass of wine. Even though that is not enough to impair you, a designated driver is supposed to refrain from alcohol altogether.
“Too tired to cook, Wilcutt took 4-year-old John to Mimi’s Café, a chain restaurant...”
Too tired to cook but she could drive her 4 yr. old to a restaurant and then to some mall? Hmm....bet she’d like a do-over on that one.
Exactly. If they get a few dangerous drivers off the road, well, that's just a nice side benefit. That's why you never admit anything to a cop, and never, ever, ever show up in court without a lawyer. Judges don't like people who aren't greasing the system. They were lawyers once too. Call me cynical, but I'm also realistic.
I wonder how he would react to some nanny-stater pouring over his employee roster? Think there might be any illegals listed?
Another interesting aspect of this case is that she ran a stop sign in a parking lot. That is cause for someone being deemed impaired? That’s the only evidence of impairment that was given in the story. Sheesh, a busybody supplied police with false information and you guys want her guilty of dui for running a stop sign in a parking lot? What a great bunch of libertarians replying to this article.
At age 34 no less. I know very few people who have dentures at 34, let alone have dentures that have gotten to the point of needing to be removed.
So is a police officer on amped of caffinated coffee (the type they throw no-doze into).
So is a police officer on adrenaline. Cops and firemen are adrenaline JUNKIES! They get a big rush, just like a coke user! But, they also get guns and big trucks!
Don't get me wrong. I don't want the job. My eldest is a cop Lt in OK. His early days were spent busting into meth labs. He was almost hit by a fired round. He doesn't do that any more.
My view of the police grows worse, every time I see this crap. I believe in keeping drunks/druggies off the road. BUT, I would prefer they spent their time sending drunk illegals back home, and shutting down the mosques armories of the muzzies infiltrators!
It's not about deterrence. It's about revenue for the state.
I don’t like busy bodies either but in this case what would you have done? Would you have stayed out of it?
Have you ever been on Vicodin/hyrdrocone?
groggy = tired
It affects different people to different degrees but it sure makes me groggy and I would dream of driving anywhere while under its influence. Never mind adding alcohol to the mix, even a small amount. Nope, 1st case was guilty, no sympathy here.
Dunno. Not stopping on private property at a stop sign isn’t a crime. Right?
I always assumed it wasn’t. But maybe I’m wrong.
‘Not every offense needs to be punished with a heavy fine and the threat of imprisonment”
When the state needs revenues heavy fines suffice. Gotta pay for all that prison heath care you know.
D- for Reading Comprehension. Other comments: "Resolute Conservative is a good student and gets along well with other students, but I wish he'd spend more time understanding what he read. Signed, Miss Canton, 7th Grade English."
I'm sure Mr. Ceballes was never properly thanked. Thank you Mr. Ceballes, you may have save several innocent lives...
How does someone’s blood alcohol get so high on half a mimosa or one glass of wine?
