Anyway that actually happened to me about 10 years ago.
I was firing at a target on top of a large tractor tire.
One shot was a bit low and the BB came zinging back straight at my face.
Tagged me just below my right eye. I was wearing my glasses (thick plastic lenses), but it was horrifying realizing what I had just done and what the outcome could have been. Yikes!

I remember being a pre-teen and getting into "wars" with BB guns JUST like that one! It was a wonder nobody ever lost an eye. Mom would wonder how we got the amazing welts, but we wouldn't say. :-)

...must be a "guy thing", because I can't recall hearing of any girls doing supremely stupid things like this. :-)

We've had a standing rule for 25 years now (as long as we've been married) that there will be NO BB guns in the house! The kids have about everything else, but no BB guns. :-)
