That's it - get your coupon today. This is just humiliating. Only in China do people have to beg their masters to have more than one child. Personally, I think everyone should have as many children as he wants. However, this is a good start. But incidents like this are why everyone should have an heir and a spare. It's inexpressibly sad when the old end up burying the young.

“Only in China do people have to beg their masters to have more than one child.”
An evil system.

Some may no longer have the ablity to conceive and bear children.

If the parents can’t bear child any more, they can receive a compensation of 600 yuan per year.(Less than 100 dollars).
Notice, the fee for legally raise(including adoption)a second child in China is nearly 200,000 yuan(about 30,000 dollars). So the one-child policy effectively generates profits for the Communists.

I said this on another thread, but I wonder if any of those who have lost a child will adopt children who have been made orphans by the earthquake.

Katrina was a picnic compared to what’s happening in China and Burma.
But a Democrat told me that China is doing a much better job of responding to its disaster than the US did post-Katrina.
