“then you have the Libertarians who are the anti war foot soldiers for Obama as that is who they will have voting Libertarian”
GravityFree, the poster who started this thread IS a Liebertarian, he says this on his home page:
“I’m a very hawkish, Libertarian who wants the government to stay out of my wallet, out of my bedroom, and out of my life. I vote Libertarian in virtually all elections unless the race is close in which case I’ll vote Republican. “
Glad you read my homepage. So you noticed I’m NOT an anti-war Obama foot solder when you read the words “very hawkish” ???
..then you have the Libertarians who are the anti war foot soldiers..
There are plenty of Libertarians who aren't anti-war. Libertarian principles go against the initiation of force, but not the use of force to defend our nation and our freedom (or ourselves and our communities). So it would be wrong, for example, to invade and conquer Canada because we liked their beer, but it certainly isn't wrong to destroy the terrorists who have been attacking us for years, and that includes removing governments that support them.
Don't assume that Ron Paul's ideas on foreign policy define what Libertarians, or liberty oriented conservatives believe in.
