The campaign now says veterans and their families will be able to attend the town hall-style event only if they receive invitations.

And only after their views (against the war, of course) have been fulling examined. Don't want any hard questions about his stance on the war.

Invitation = empty meeting hall = no media allowed. I can’t believe many in the military would ever attend such a thing. Moreover, he doesn’t want the media to show a vacant room.
