my first thought too...except I thought he “should” be tried for treason!

Can a former president be tried for treason?

I'd say in this case, how can you NOT charge and convict him for treason?

He is actively interfering with US foreign policy on purpose. He is NOT the President. He was kicked out of office (left by force, not time ran out).
