These are NEW recruits for the most part.

For background, the NEW Commander of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), who used to be senior commander and in charge of ALL paramilitary forces was put UNDER the NEW Commander of the Bassiji Suppression (Feshaar in Farsi) Forces a few months ago.

These appointments were made by the Supreme Ruler Ali Khamenei, who also appointed the deputy commanders. Something unheard of as commanders have always been free to choose their top assistants.

Plus, the stated reason for this change was a policy change which stated that the above forces were to focus on “internal dangers” as opposed to external threats.

The regular military (as opposed to paramilitary IRGC etc.) have for some time become second class “military citizens” receiving little or no updated weapons etc. - in fact most of the regular military has actually been DISARMED as the Mullahs no longer feel they can trust them.

This lack of trust is also an underlying reason for putting the ever less loyal IRGC under the Bassiji, a huge proportion of whom are Arab mercenaries, who love maiming and killing the non-Arab Iranians.

There can be no long-term solution for Iran, that does not involve the people rising up in something like the French Revolution and killing all the Arab Islamists and hanging all the mullahs

Only when the average Iranian is totally sick of Islam and wants nothing further to do with it, to the point of being willing to kill anybody who DOES love Sharia, will there be lasting change

Anything less, and Sharia will inevitably return
