That’s also why the Reagan years were so carefree.

Other countries thought he was a trigger-happy lunatic and minded their manners.

McCain just might be “crazy enough”.

I *like* that in a president.

The fact that McCain, might be just crazy enough is the only redeeming thing I've seen so far.

His reputation for temper, would cause them to think at least twice.

Me, too. The President of the United States is elected to look out for our interests, not everyone else's. Now, if McCain would just realize this about "global warming."

There are times for diplomacy and there are times for immediate action. Reagan understood this, George W. understands this, and I think that McCain understands it.

Most of the time, the only people impressed by the actions of the diplomats are the diplomats.

Thought you’d enjoy this thread on Memorial Day.

My BIL visited here last week and we were, once again, talking about this.

The attempts to attack Americans on U.S. soil never ended after 9/11, the public just doesn’t hear/know about all the attempts, and never will. Fortunately, we do have a president currently with fortitude to do what has to be done to stop these attacks (wiretapping, etc.).

That won’t be the case should one of the democrat contenders achieve this office.

In times such as these, that “only redeeming thing” might be the very thing that saves our collective @sses.

Not having a “better” choice, I know what I’ll have to do, come November.

Don’t ask me why, but I have this weird “gut feeling” his rantings about global warming is just lip service aimed at getting liberal/indie votes.

I just don’t think he gives a rat’s rump about it, in reality.

I could be totally wrong but it’s a strong suspicion I’ve had for a long time.

[gee...like no politician ever pandered to a fringe group for votes, with no intention of keeping their word, right?]....:))

If Obama gets in, China will take Taiwan within 30 days. Any country thinking about trying something will try it. All our troops are busy and Obama won’t know what to do.

The Cole was attacked in the waning days of the Clinton Presidency.

Clinton did nothing.

Obama strikes me as less sharp than most of the well informed Freepers I read continually on this forum.

He really is not that distiguished, and his judgement is abysmal.

I’ve got some guns and some ammo that say that’s never going to happen to me. I’d rather fight to the death.

Amen.
