Thanks for posting Janet. One child confirmed dead in Hugo, a northern Twin Cities suburb.
Stay save everyone.
What channel was that? There are some amazing pics at wcco.com. Total destruction, unfortunately.
That’s gonna be a record. Worries and prayers.
Reports from Fayette, Iowa — finding personal effects - photos, tax records, etc. from Parkersburg, Iowa over 50 miles away.
Why I think this SHOULD stay in breaking news:
You said: “People who are interested will use the search function . . .”
My point is — some people may not EVEN realize something is going on. How can they search for something they know nothing about?
That’s the purpose of Breaking News. To bring it to people’s attention.
You’re not a moderator, are you?
Just askin’ . . . .
Nope. Not a moderator. Just trying to keep the thread clean from all the fights with moderators. That way it wont get pulled like yesterdays thread was.
kwwl went live with their coverage as soon as the race wrap-up was completed.
They are telling Dubuque residents to prepare to take cover.
With 1 dead and twenty missing, I think it has to have been caused by muslim terrorists or illegal mexican immigrants rather than weather to be in breaking news.
I’m watching KCRG’s stream....sounds ugly. Parkersburg hit bad...Dunkerton too.
KCRG TV reporting at least 14 people with storm injuries in a Allen Hospital in Waterloo...
I was involved with that thread yesterday it was amazing video from the chopper and the ground crews. Real time tornadoes forming right before our eyes!
The Mod(s) on that thread were very defensive and abusive about their decison to remove the thread from Breaking News. I did not realize that the thread had been removed from FR until you mentioned it here. You are right it is totally gone. I would be ashamed to have that particular thread hanging around if I were them also!
The mere mention of mods and this thread was pulled out of breaking news. (Go look for yourself)
Let’s all just stick to what the thread is about... Current severe weather and tornado outbreaks in the heart of the country. If we don’t we will see the thread end up in chat or possibly deleted.
Thanks! Here’s a pic of what used to be a house, and an SUV on its side:
