They just did a helicopter flyover of Hugo, Minnesota on the TV news. It's devastation. These were very nice new homes.

IMHO - It might be better to not have this in breaking news. People that are interested will use the search function and the thread will be cleaner. Just posted some links to interesting Tornado Chaser video from friday on this thread from this morning. Friday and Saturday were historic for storm chaser. Luckily most were in remote areas. Today there are Tornado warnings and watches from Eastern Texas all the way to Northern Minnesota.

Stay save everyone.

Why I think this SHOULD stay in breaking news:

You said: “People who are interested will use the search function . . .”

My point is — some people may not EVEN realize something is going on. How can they search for something they know nothing about?

That’s the purpose of Breaking News. To bring it to people’s attention.

You’re not a moderator, are you?

Just askin’ . . . .

It was on WCCO tv about an hour ago. I'm sure it will available soon if not already on the website.

Nope. Not a moderator. Just trying to keep the thread clean from all the fights with moderators. That way it wont get pulled like yesterdays thread was.

With 1 dead and twenty missing, I think it has to have been caused by muslim terrorists or illegal mexican immigrants rather than weather to be in breaking news.

This sounds bad for those areas in the path of these storms. God be with them.

I was involved with that thread yesterday it was amazing video from the chopper and the ground crews. Real time tornadoes forming right before our eyes!

The Mod(s) on that thread were very defensive and abusive about their decison to remove the thread from Breaking News. I did not realize that the thread had been removed from FR until you mentioned it here. You are right it is totally gone. I would be ashamed to have that particular thread hanging around if I were them also!

The mere mention of mods and this thread was pulled out of breaking news. (Go look for yourself)

Let’s all just stick to what the thread is about... Current severe weather and tornado outbreaks in the heart of the country. If we don’t we will see the thread end up in chat or possibly deleted.
