Tampa, FL (LifeNews.com) -- Four women who were injured emotionally and spiritually by their abortions and regret their decisions confronted supporters of Barack Obama at a rally this week in Florida. The members of the post-abortion group Operation Outcry stood on the sidewalk holding signs that read My Abortion Hurt Me."
They were able to share their message of abortion's destructive effects with over 6,000 people attending the rally.
I wanted the people to realize what their support of Obama means when you think about the damage abortion does to the thousands of women and men daily in our nation and the loss of our children," Rebecca Porter told LifeNews.com.
Porter, who heads the Florida efforts for the post-abortion organization, told LifeNews.com she was surprised by the number of Obama backers who were uninformed about the presidential candidate's pro-abortion position.
"What surprised me the most was that many people that spoke to us were pro-life and didn't have a clue about Barack Obamas liberal voting record," she said.
Porter and her colleagues found men and women who both said their involvement in abortions caused them significant regret as well.
"We had several women and men comment that abortion had hurt them too and we were able to give them a Declaration form and share about abortion recovery ministries," she said.
The declarations have been used by more than 2,200 women and men who are part of the effort by the Justice Foundation, a Texas-based pro-life law firm that has been trying to overturn Roe v. Wade.
"Thousands saw us and many were surprised that we could be so bold as to make such a statement about our abortions," Porter told LifeNews.com. "We stood and looked people in the eye as we prayed for them and our nation. We saw so much pain and heartache and many looked away in shame.

not sure McCain has the spine.
after all he apologized for using Obama’s middle name: HUSSEIN
that was not a dirty name but that is his truthful middle name.
ironic.

And McCain is crazy if he doesn't make this an issue. He is, so he won't.

"What surprised me the most was that many people that spoke to us were pro-life and didn't have a clue about Barack Obamas liberal voting record," If you are too ignorant to vote, stay home on election day. It's the patriotic thing to do.

McCain should use bth his support for gay marriage and his support for late term abortion. Anyone who would deny medical care to a survivor of abortion should never be allowed near the Whitehouse!

“...many people that spoke to us were pro-life and didn’t have a clue about Barack Obamas liberal voting record.”
A fellow came around our neighborhood door-to-door asking people to vote for Obama. This guy was polite and sincere, but apparently a bit clueless. He seemed truly amazed I was not voting for Obama. This supporter really had the “messiah complex” and asked me would I consider changing my mind?
Realizing that a long discourse on foreign policy, economics, etc, would be useless, I just brought up one issue and said, “I’m pro-life.” He said, “What do you mean?” (!) So I briefly explained about Obama’s views on killing babies in the womb and even after their born, and Hillary’s too, and that this “culture of death” undermines every other good thing about a candidate, and also endangers our nation’s future, and for that reason alone I felt I had to vote Republican.
He said he respected my opinion — and that he’d never heard that before!

McCain needs to run as a Strong Pro Life Candidate and not duck the Issue.
His Platform and the GOP Platform should be:
1. Only appoint Justices that will Overturn Roe.
2. Once Roe is overturned, we will work in all 50 States to Criminalize Abortion.
3. Both Abortion Providers and the people who use their services to kill will be Charged with Murder.

And McCain is crazy if he doesn't make this an issue. The MSM is so stupid. If the Rev's antics weren't enough for middle America, wait until they learn about Obama's votes in favor of infanticide. The Democrat convention will be the high-water mark of Obama's campaign.
