Not one thing the Demo-rats say or the Environmentalists do will produce one drop of oil or reduce gas prices one cent.
We have to get those people out of office this November ....

“In the left’s refusal to allow us to seek new energy sources they are stunting a nation’s economy, they are hurting the average family, and they are starving hungry children.”

Absolutely true. When the Repubes had both houses of congress for the better part of the last decade, what did they do about our energy problems pray tell?

He’s exactly right. But the Republicans are too scared to take on the environazis and as the MSM is the willing propaganda arm of the Democrats, nothing will likely change.

If these gas prices stay high long enough then the public will finally start paying attention to the claims that liberals are the cause..

Wasn’t it Gail Norton who was critized by Congress for making public a frozen tundra photo of ANWAR?

We have the government we deserve now ELSE "we" wouldn't elect them time and time again.... Looks like not many "conservatives" are willing to run for office.. That is if they could even BE elected.. America seems to WANT socialist liberals running everything currently... Due to the socialist brain wash from media and academia and the public schools.. for decades..

Conservatives send their kids to school(s) only to get socialists back.. And do literally NOTHING about it.. Socialism SHOULD BE illegal.. and communism treason..

Starving in the midst of plenty as it were. Republicans do not have the guts OR the moral convictions to stand up to anyone, they’ve compromised themselves throughout their careers to the point that they are a total wash-out. Opportunities to take the lead have occurred time and again to no avail.

We can’t afford anymore of this so-called leadership like we are now struggling under. It’s past time to take some serious action.

But what is more sickening, the general public, when surveyed, overwhelmingly say the Democrats are best for the economy, the environment and energy.

It has to be the Clinton ‘90’s (Having been the luckiest fool to be President during the computer/technology boom.) that is the cause.

If McCain doesn’t take it on , then McConnell should go third party by about September 15, six weeks of campaigning will put him in the White House.

I don't want to sound contrarian -- because I certainly agree with this article -- but is it true that we do have the technology to extract oil from the Alaskan wilderness with almost zero impact on the surrounding environment?

I ask because even though I support the idea of drilling in Alaska, I always assumed that it would have some sort of negative impact on the natural environment there. I'm not a tree-hugger enviro-whacko, but I (like, I believe, pretty much all people) would hate to see the awesome beauty of the Alaskan wilderness destroyed or damaged by this. I'm a conservative, but I'm also an outdoors guy and nature lover, so there are some things worth saving. I feel much the same way about the coral reefs.

If they can do this with minimal or "near zero" impact, like this article says, then this needs to be done NOW.

What the left is counting on is that most people are stupid and will vote for demagogues who propose "solutions" like windfall proft taxes, subsidizing "green" but inefficient industries and perhaps nationalizing all or most businesses.

Keep bringing it to a vote.  A slim majority can do little when the democrats fillibuster everything.
