John McCain.; Mary Tillman, mother of deceased Army Ranger Pat Tillman.
No, I did not watch any of the shows as seems to be evident from my reply. I always look forward to reading the comments of those who are able to watch them. I must say I’m taken aback by your snide comment. Didn’t take you for someone who is like that, I was obviously wrong.
Obama thinks only elites should have guns!!!
Libs only mention dead troops. Not that tey crae; but as statistics.
They think Memorial Day is to honor only those troops who “paid the ultimate sacrifice” (i.e. died in combat). It has many meanings. I think it combined with “decoration day” when folks visited family graves. Memorial Day itself started over Civil War where both sides were American. Gee, the CNN body count clicker would have burned out in those days. 4,000? Try 600,000.
In any event, fellow veterans, I salute you, not just this weekend but every day.
I think cspan radio replays all the shows at some point today. I missed a lot of Rove, but he did handle himself very well with Stephi regarding the subpoena that Conyers and crew handed him regarding the Seligman corruption trial. Stephy didn’t like his answer and tried to pin Rove down; didn’t work though.
The update from Iraq is good; I have never seen this General before and he is excellent. Although they have been a spike of AQ in the MND-N segment, we are winning and there is no denying it. Fights are ongoing, but we are winning. Woffie brings up the NYTimes reporting the militias are melting away only to creep up in other places where no one expects them. The general discusses how complex the situation is and that the Iraqi counterparts are playing their role. The general tells Woffie we are shifting our forces to meet the threat, but the KEY IS THE IRAQI FORCES ARE DOING A FABULOUS JOB.
OK, then, sorry—see my post # 179. Looks like we both mistook each other for a wise-guy.
When you’ve watched as many of these shows as we’ve done here over the past ten years you rarely find as much posted about what’s being said as ranting in disagreement with the political leanings of the guests and especially the hosts.
But if you read every post in the the thread like I do, you’ll usually see what was said. Today is no exception.
Yup. See my post # 2!
That’s been the case for a long time now, TexasKate.
I think it’s because this has become more a political discussion thread, probably due to the fact that nothing new or interesting is said on the Sunday shows any more.
The guests are repetitive and predictable. The only one I wanted to hear today was Karl Rove and I missed it.
I wonder if the viewership for the Sunday Shows has gone down dramatically. I would guess that that is the case.
TV producers are slow learners. Wait, that’s a compliment. Most of them never learn at all.
Do they notice the success of Fox News and try to be fairer? No way.
Do they notice that their Sunday shows generate no excitement and try to find some more offbeat and interesting guests?
I suspect that many of us don’t even watch the shows and come here to see what the main themes were.
So ....
Apparently FNC covered some of the rolling thunder rally but I missed it while watching the General of CNN. Did anyone else catch any of it?
You are sweet and I envy you attitue.
I can’t wait to see who McCain picks.
Praying it’s not a disappointment!!!!
Until such time as a contingent of Leftists in the Senate, looking for political cover, devise a scheme to dupe an unassailable "pro-(fill-in-the-blank)" politician into joining them and then dangle a shiny object, moving in a pendulum motion, before the face of Mr. (who else?) McCain.
Peggy Noonan hints at -hillary being treated badly- she did not mean what she said......
That is plain garbage!! hillary, the most calculating of woman, is and has always been in control of what comes out of her mouth.
She is just used to having the media cleaning up after her.
I just love Brit Hume!!! when Brit speaks, I listen, and I don’t with Wallace, I’m usually yelling at him.... like his comments about Iraq and President Bush earlier.
You were taken aback by AB'S snide comment?
Ab is the originator of this thread and has done so for quite a while. He does a fine job.
You come in, and first thing you complain to him about alleged lack of germane posts when, first, THERE ARE PLENTY, if you just read.
AB answers curtly, but quite appropriately for YOUR very snide, childish and silly introduction. We love you Texas Kate, based on your entrance alone. We are dazzled by your charm and manners.
At any rate, AB, comes back and apologizes, not that he should have, and provides you with a synopsis you requested.
Texas Kate.....wins the PRIZE for the audacity of bad behavior on an Internet thread
Who are you and who do you work for?
When will the cookie crumble?
I appreciate that you dislike me. As is your right. I feel exactly the same about you, let us be clear.
Another fine member of the afternoon contingent weighs in.
Soon, the cookie shall crumble.
Huh???
