It's been reported recently that former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee, could be a potential vice presidential running mate for Senator John McCain. So, why isn't he part of a governor's weekend at McCain's house in Arizona? According to Max Brantley's blog on Arkansas Times, Huckabee was invited out to Arizona this weekend, but regretted so that he and his wife, Janet, could celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary.

Typical Huckaliar smoke.
Her loss is our gain, wait...did I say that right?

Good. Keep Huckleberry far away from the White House.
I don’t want to see the Huckster anywhere near the WH, but I certainly don’t see a problem with his declining the invite for the reason stated.
Your “Huckaliar” comment only hurts your own credibility.
I think Huck was looking for a one on one.
Not liking company
My credibility is just fine. But those that continue to back that liar have lost their credibility.
Do you own some of his magic shelves?
I dunno. I don't like Huckabee, but if someone invite me to come on my wedding anniversary, I might not come either. I really don't see any problem with that.
You obviously knew the comment was Huck & McCain not all the others at the same time.
Guess I hit a nerve
If "magic book shelves" bothered you then get a load of this!...
The question is, how did this wind up leaked on a blog, or manufactured on a blog, rather than just having Huckabee available to the press for a few moments during which someone would surely have (or been told to) ask him about it. He could then just say so himself.
Odds 50/50 McCain didn’t invite him.
>>Former GOP presidential rival Mike Huckabee was reportedly also invited, but declined the invitation to celebrate his anniversary, according to The Associated Press.

I hope you are not laying bets on your odds.
Each to their own, but I have been happily married to the same beautiful Bride for nearly 38 well lived years. If I could change anything it would have been the date we met.... I would rather had been in my 50th year.
If I were trying to become the Vice President of the most powerful country in the world, and was truly invited to such an event, by the man I want to pick me for that job, I would certainly show up at the bbq. I might also bring my Bride.
Huckafreak is just trying to pull another fast one...his list is long.
Perhaps I am just too old school for some, but once a man lies to me or in anyway tries to deceive me, he can never tell the truth to me again...I will NEVER trust that little twofaced mouse of a man.
Well let me defend the poster whom you chastise....
I don’t believe Hucklebee for one single solitary fraction of a second.
It’s my right not to believe him, God Bless America. Let the gods of credibility cast aspersions upon me.
First, a caveat....IF, and this is one big IF....the Huckster and his wife had some big brouhaha planned for this, what? 34th?...a big anniversary that one....anniversary...say their children planned some big event, had a hall saved, had caterers at the ready...well THEN I might believe Huckster would back out.
Again, 34th anniversary? THIRTY FOURTH? Children would plan a big hulabaloo on Memorial Day weekend to celebrate their parents’ 34th anniversary?
Hey, anything’s possible. Heh.
Now, beyond having some event written in stone....come on. All yon readers sit back and take a deep breath. Consider. Your 34th anniversary with your beloved is this coming Sattidy and you and the wife plan a nice dinner out, perhaps a show, maybe a few Viagara at the end of the night and some fireworks in the sack. You get a call from the presumpative Republican nominee for an invite to a BBQ at his home. The scuttlebutt is that the event is dress rehearsal for a possible VP choice.
Tell me, your wife would get MAD if you asked her if you and she couldn’t save the Viagara and dinner until a few days AFTER an event that is all the talk of the pubbie political elite? I mean, husband and I rearrange our anniversary celebrations all the time. It’s really okay to kind of estimate anniversaries, you know. A few days here and there....close enough to 34 years.
I’d also point out that Huck considers himself the political pundit du jour, yes he does. Even IF he wasn’t a consideration for VP, ole Huck would love to be at that party, schmoozing the attendees, picking up the latest gossip, noting the moves and who talks to who. It would make great gossip fodder for his dream job of a Fox political pundit.
AND YOU THINK HE SAID NO?
Bawaaahahahahahahahahahah!!!!
And yet here you are making a falsehood about Huckabee’s invitation. Yep your credibility is shot. Stay away from mirrors and enjoy your cheese.
