I’m a foreigner, so please forgive my ignorance. A few questions arise from this:
1) Can a sitting US President be investigated, charged and convicted for a serious crime? Who does the investigation — presumably the FBI?
2) Has it ever happened before? Short of being impeached and losing the job of POTUS? Have any ex-Presidents done any serious gaol time?
3) Are there any parameters around the granting of Presidential Pardons?
HillBilly is many things — evil, wicked, and butt-ugly being the three that spring to mind. But she is not stupid. I doubt this was a case of mis-speak: she will have had a good reason, and it was deliberate and calculated.
Her mind operates at a depth of Evil that few if any of us well-adjusted folk can properly comprehend.
It is chilling, and yet thoroughly entertaining, to watch from afar.

So the Republican party isn't a "major political party"? Of course it is. This is why I said "a" major political party and not "the" major political party.

But now that she has said this publically and the WHOLE WORLD knws it (see later thread) If ANYTHING happens to Obammie, she will be the prime suspect. I can finally say this with certainty. The Clintons are toast. She should be forced to resign her Senate seat.

The comparison is completely faulty; in 1968, the primaries didn’t START in December or January, but much, much later. So It wasn’t unusual for big states to be decided later than now. This Democratic primary has gone on much, much longer than any in recent history, and the reference to a tragedy cutting it short IS a very revealing slip of her tongue that should disqualify her from the Presidency.

did anyone see her reaction after drinking a show of whisky?
if you do it (straight) all the time then you can take it, if you don’t it will nearly choke you.
So which was it? alcoholic or fake shot?

- now I can't STAND her, of course,
but I've never seen a sports team quit before the game is over. I kind of admire the boxer who keeps on getting up until they are KO’d. And I am sure that Obama is at higher risk than many other recent presidential candidates, just because of his race alone, for some nut-case to do something bad. So I see her point: Why quit? If something bad did happen and she had quit, how many other ding-dongs would jump back in the race? Remember Winston Churchill's famous speech: don't ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER give up.” Not that I don't think she'd be an unmitigated disaster as a leader, but I can see the point of not quitting until the game is officially over.

From somewhere deep in Hillary Clinton’s dark soul, this sick comment issued forth as an invitation to a sleeper cell of 1 or 100 to do whatever was now necessary to get her the nomination. Right now, that old saying about bread on the waters should have special resonance for her.
