I've been around children and am from an extremely large family ~ you get out to the second cousins at a couple of removes we've got more folks than the F(lds).

But, enough on that.

No, the kids were not "scared".

I agree. The children more than likely were not scared. They probably never celebrated Halloween.
My issue is with the process used to justify the whole thing.
What I saw was a fishing expedition under the color of the law. When tactics are used that go against the Constitution,Bill of rights, civil law, etc.,then yes we have a problem.
Do I like the goings on there at the compound?Absolutely not!!But there is a right way of going about it procedurally.Bottom line is,it could have been dealt with differently.
If something I posted did not set well with you,I apologize. No harm was intentioned.
I live in Texas and the thought that any one can call and make a false accusation which could have a devastating impact on your life and well being disturbs me.
I believe CPS is necessary when used correctly.
I was a victim of an anonymous phone call once.I was issued a citation and I knew it was false.Crime, doing commercial business in a retail zone.I ended up hiring a Lawyer which cost as much as the fine.It was thrown out of court but at an expense of eight hundred dollars. As much as the fine was.I also could not find out the identity of the ‘anonymous caller’.I had always believed you had the right to know your accuser. Not so.
The ‘Religion'of the people may be disgusting, but they are still entitled to due process.Legally.
