Wow.

This is an extraordinary case with major ramifications to the future of the military. It should be making major headlines. They have no body, no forensics, just a few unmatching stories about one event during the long horrific battle for Fallujah. This is a horrible precident to set for future military actions. Who will fight our wars if each soldier has to worry the rest of their lives about being tried in federal court with such weak evidence?

Low said the uniformed Marine briefly got down on his knees and prayed in the courtroom before surrendering to US Marshals detailed to take him into custody.

If the Marines decides to tack on an Unauthorized Absence charge, they better get on their own knees and pray they can get any more recruits with this kind of courage of their convictions.
