Thank you for posting that address - I just saw the interview on the Glenn Beck show here on the west coast and enjoyed the young representative who was so enthused about the group and its work...

I was surprised because there is so little written or spoken about this heroine of our past - and was stunned she actually LOST the award of the most recent Nobel Peace Prize to Al Gore - can there be any comparison between the work of the two???

All I can say is what an amazing woman. The word courageous doesn't even begin to describe her actions.

And I was just getting over being PO’d over Gore's Nobel Prize. To know that it could have gone to a person who deserved it makes me angry all over again.

A great woman! May her memory live forever.

“In 2005 Irena Sendler reflected: “We who were rescuing children are not some kind of heroes. That term irritates me greatly. The opposite is true – I continue to have qualms of conscience that I did so little. I could have done more. This regret will follow me to my death.”

This is what we all should be prepared to do with our lives. If I could have as much courage. She is a person we all could learn from. God bless her.

I had the privilege of emailing the foundation and getting a very courteous reply.

The Life in a Jar group started as a class project of a school in Kansas. Great work that has continued through the years.

Check out the site to find a presentation near you.
