Senator John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, on Friday is scheduled to meet with two Republican governors who have been prominently mentioned as potential running mates, according to Republicans familiar with Mr. McCains plan.
Charlie Crist, the governor of Florida, and Bobby Jindal, the governor of Louisiana, have both accepted invitations to meet with Mr. McCain at his home in Arizona, according to Republican familiars with the decision. One Republican said that Mitt Romney, a former rival of Mr. McCain for the presidential nomination is also expected to visit him this weekend. Mr. Romneys advisers declined to comment.

LOL
My bet is that Juan will pick another boring white guy. But it would make heads spin if he picked a woman!
Karen Hughes would be great!
I was hoping for some different options for VP but.......check out www.reluctantrepublicansformccain.com
great site
Wonder if McCain knows about the GAY issues floating around Florida?
Crist, the GOP George Hamilton of Florida, is NOT going to enhance the ticket.
He'd lose Florida voters who voted for Crist by default.
That glad-handling jerkbait is the one who forced McCain on us in their primary!
And if its Romney I will have no problem staying home at all, I read today his socialist Mass health care is already costing 3 times what he said it would and its only in its third year.
Dark days ahead.
Me - a liberal? Ooooooh, you are soooo mean! LOL! :)
I like Fred as much as the next guy but I think he is just too oldish to be McCain’s VP. Even he says (sincerely) he is not for that job.
To do what, wreck the economy and bust the budget with universal health care like he did in Mass?
The only thing he is ready to do on day one is continue to talk out of both sides of his mouth, sign an AWB ban, endorse gay marriage, and appoint more democrats to the SCOTUS than Republicans.
If its McCain/Romney I'm hoping the muslim takes it, voting McCain would be hard enough,no way will I vote for those 2 RINO's together.
It’s liberal for me to say that Thompson was co-chairman of McCains last run for the presidency? It’s liberal for me to say that Thompson worked to successfully get McCain-Feingold passed when he was a Senator? Please explain how that makes me a liberal?
How bad are these choices? Vote for Obama.

I agree, but the Romney camp will tell ya he had to do this because he was gov over a liberal state. I say he will
also bow to a liberal congress and senate.
So....Romney isn’t an option for you is what I’m getting.
The next 4 years will be hell regardless of who is in control, why take the blame.
No SCOTUS appointments that are conservative will get confirmed either way.
Worked to? He pretty much was the thrust behind the whole thing. Remember, it was called McCain/Feingold/THOMPSON right up until the final vote to pass the abomination.
“An outside choice will be Rudy.”
If Senator McCain picks Rudy Giuliani or Gov. Charlie Crist NO WAY will I even hold my nose and vote for McCain.
If he picks a lefty like these guys, it will show us that he is not reaching out to conservatives, as he promised at C-PAC, and we won’t be able to trust him on picking originalist judges, either.
John McAniac does not live in Sedona, No. 1. His home is much closer to Cornville.
No. 2, it is not a ranch, unless you consider having a bunch of cacti on your land a ranch.
I've been there and seen it via a walk with Dittomom's daughter from a dirt road. There were no "No Trespassing" signs as I recall. Of course, that was seven years ago, maybe he bought a side of beef.
What a cute couple. Good one, CCC.
