And let's not lose sight of this:

The governor appeared at an Environmental Defense Fund event ...

Where's all the Apologists at? They're as silent as N.O.W. Sows are when Muslim women are forced back into burning buildings for showing too much ankle.

Perhaps they're busy, in the smokey backroom of a roach motel, working on a way to twist it into "it's for the Troops"!

Arnie's environmental platform that he posted on his website back in 2003 was written by Robert F. Kennedy, jr. who has long been tied in with the NRDC, Environmental Defense, etc. Arnie's global warming stance was included in that document, along with his 25 million acre land grab (the Sierra Nevada Conservancy), Hydrogen highways, regulating oceans, rivers and just about every darn part of our lives.

I haven't gone through it recently, but I would bet that he is accomplishing just about every leftist action that he outlined there. Arnie also hired a bunch of leftists as senior advisers to help him institute this (See keywords Bonnie Reiss or Terry Tamminen).

The fact that some people still want to call this man a Republican is really disgusting. It's not like folks were not warned. Carry_Okie posted a very long analysis of that platform exposing it for the leftist dribble it was.

An Analysis of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Environmental Policy
Note--many of the same things he was promoting had been vetoed by his predecessor(D).

I'm all for conservation, but this stuff comes straight out of the Communist Manifesto.
