"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
It’s nice to know that Obama and the rest of his Whiner Family sat in that “church” for years and absorbed the demented ravings of “Pastor” Wright. Obama is obviously qualified to represent the lunatic Liberal DemonRat Party. He should be elected President of Loony Liberal Land for life.
Jerry Wright does a mighty fine impersonation of a Mohammadan.
Jesus Christ is the spotless lamb of God, innocent.
Sinful men murdered him.
The unborn child in the womb, while not spotless, is nevertheless free from evil deed.
People who believe like Obama view them as a "punishment" and murder them - in numbers that dwarf any casualty figures from Iraq.
That nullifies not only BO's ridiculous and inane argument here, but the Left's entire premise about the war. They need to talk about the ignorance- and special interest-driven war that has taken 50 MILLION lives - and stop hiding from it - before they can expect to have even ONE IOTA of credibility on any other war.
There’s not a lot of difference between these ravings and the ravings of white separatists. Interesting.
Yeah, you know, the “garlic noses”, those rich white Europeans “the EYEtalians”. They killed Black Jesus.
This is old news. Nothing that Wright himself didn’t say.
So the whole flipping Black Supremacist church is racist. yep. We’ve known that. Nothing was out of context. It was an inconvenient truth.
Where are the Democrats who stood up for Wright and said he was just telling the TRUTH?
...and Rev. Wright has a 10,000 sq.ft. house to lay his head. Sure sounds like a follower of Christ to me.

Feel the love from Rev. Wright
“Reverend” Wright is not a Christian. He’s a huckster leading his own cult. He gets a pass from the leftists, because he’s their kind of guy.
Black self determination? The truth in terms of Christianity is self determination as an aspect of democracy dies the moment the Lord Jesus Christ sets foot back upon the planet. The Son of God is not a president. He is the King of Kings! It’s the Lord’s way or the highway.

I've got more faith and love in my little finger than he has in his entire racist church.

I saw Gibson's movie. He did have a goy play Jesus (which was probably indicative of the beliefs of Mr. Mel “the Jews start all the wars” Gibson), but he put him in brown contacts and glued on a prosthetic nose.
I get so sick and tired of both sides, liberals and conservatives, trying to put our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in liberal/conservative boxes. He transcends the paradigm.
Obama’s pastor is dead wrong on so many counts, especially the “multiple paths” argument which is, black and white (no pun intended) wrong according to any reasonable interpretation of the Scripture.
He is right on a few counts, but wrong on so many more. If you take any issue, you should be able to see that Jesus transcends the paradigm.
Take homosexuality, for instance. The Bible clearly states that homosexuality is a sin. If He were here, Jesus would concur. That does not give me an excuse, however, to hate homosexuals, refuse to work with them, or preach to them in such a way that exalts myself as being superior.
Instead, I should be speaking the truth in love at a time when I am led to do so by the Holy Spirit. After all, it is just a sin and I have a long list that, save the grace of Christ, I would literally have hell to pay for. That is not said to minimize sin, it is just the fact of my being a sinner.
Christianity’s biggest problem has been those who use tolerance and love as a means to subvert the nasty truth about sin and about the way to salvation (as Wright has done) and, conversely, those who use the sins of others as a way of exalting themselves and feeling superior. Christ was ruthless in speaking truth and in living without sin yet he was the most humble person to walk the earth. That’s an amazing, amazing thing if you think about it. It flies in the face of everything the world tells you.
Jesus was an unbending conservative with respect to the truth and he was (still is, actually) a heart-bleeding liberal when it comes to grace.
Obama’s pastor, however, appears to seek retribution.
The scariest thing about Wright is that he and his circle of friends such as Obama and then Oprah have the platform to deceive multitudes with a feel-good, no sin, multiple paths New-age religion.
While I’m open to the idea that Bush may be a wolf in sheep’s clothing, that would not give me any justification for hating the man or even looking down on him. Even if Bush is a Baal follower, it still doesn’t make Wright right.
The only reason that I bring that up is that, in these confusing times where many Freepers believe that Bush is doing bad things with regard to the border, Israel, etc, a grain of semi-truth about Bush’s loyalties does not make everything else in Wright’s web true. After all, a good lie incorporates many elements of the truth. I do not have any idea what the truth is anymore with respect to today’s current geopolitical situation. I just know that Christ is Lord and what will come will come. Trials and tribulations, even THE tribulation, are not a bad thing if they lead multitudes to Christ.
I try to remember that from time to time when I worry if I’ll still be able to vaction in Florida or Vegas in 5 years. So, we are very likely to be stuck with Obama and socialist policy and a grim economic outlook. If this brings more to Christ, then it is actually not a bad thing. Doubtless, I will probably wallow in self-pity at some point, but I have to remember that.
I believe Bush is wrong on many issues and I have many times thought him to be a corporate pawn and a big-government liberal, but I still pray for him and I genuinely hope that one day in heaven, I will get to sit down and listen to him tell his story. After all, I’m not any less at fault for the state of the world than he is (only understood through the lens of man’s sinful nature).
