"The Decemberists"Never heard of them. No band I've never heard of is going to draw 70,000+ people.

“The Decemberists” - must be one hell of a popular band to draw 70K.

The Decemberists are pretty popular, especially with a free concert. All hail King Obama! He commands us to adore him and not ask inconvenient questions like “Where did 70,000 come from?”

...so I guess the 90 million supporters out in Oregon could care less. Reminds me of how Hilda was the inevitable President....until the MSM found out that 50% of the rats wouldn't vote for her BEFORE the first rat gathering

Another freeper pointed out the other day that this band are so far gone as communists that they open their shows with the Soviet national anthem. This should be another Obama scandal.

The band may have drawn a few people there but I think it was still just a vast majority of idiots.

One report I heard said there were only 55,000 there. Even that number is probably exaggerated.

Oh my, I even know about the Decemberists and I’m a middle aged woman, LOL. That explains the turn out. This group is very popular with the college crowd (their politics are liberal and they have a couple anti-war songs.) Some of their ballards are interesting to listen to. Here’s a sample of one of their more “famous” songs...The Mariner’s Revenge.

No way they draw anything close to 70K. That’s a football stadium crowd. U2 could draw that, or the Stones, or Dave Matthews maybe, but no way these guys. They prolly cant draw 15K in their hometown.

No, no free beer, but wasn’t it cool how he reportedly fed the crowd with five loaves of bread and two fishes?

Portland is their hometown. I know their show in Orlando was sold out (had a nephew that tried to get tickets.)
