All political art is propaganda (that is the point), but most political posters are bland, forgettable, wallpaper.... [Shepard Fairey] wanted to make posters that the cool cats would want. The 2008 Democratic primary season equivalent of the Che poster (with all that implies). More Mao, more right now.... The kind of poster that might sell on eBay, as a signed Fairey Obama recently did, for $5,900....

Yeah, sure! So here's another Amerikkka-hating, fund-raising "friend of Obama."
Shepard Fairey is the artist who designed the official fund-raising set of Obama : Hope / Change / Progress posters, like this one:
Fairey has a company ("Obey") that produces his own artwork, such as these.

Fairey stole two concepts from the movie THEY LIVE. Both of them are subliminal messages, one is OBEY, the other is THIS IS YOUR GOD.
And that is the Obama campaign in a nutshell. They hired this red dupe to give them a campaign that could be wheatpasted in public places overnight (even in Obama’s personal letter to Shepherd, he mentioned the power of seeing one of Fairey’s stickers on a stop sign).
