I started the thread with an article that asserts that McCain is wrong for looking at the French experience for a reason to pursue a pro nuke policy. I am pro nuke so I tossed it out there because I always like to challenge my beliefs, especially in areas where I KNOW there are more knowledgeable Freepers than I who can address the subject. I have to admit that the article led me to have a less positive view of nuclear power than I previously had. This thread made me search and find an article that not only defends Mr. Solomon but clarifies how bad the French nuclear power industry screwed up. I think that Mr. Solomon comes across as anti-nuke in the article with which I started this thread. Many on the thread think so. I don't think that was his goal. Its incumbent on that author to get his point across. I think he stumbled. This article isn't anti-nuke so much as it is anti-french energy policy.
