I pray Mr. Kennedy truly repents and turns his life over to the Lord Jesus Christ. He still has the opportunity to be a mighty tool used by God to bring life and freedom to others. May he begin to walk in the calling God has destined for him.

Our Heavenly Father is giving Teddy a chance to repent and ask for forgiveness. I pray that he does so. Prayers also for his family.

Ted is a wonderful lion of a man, he has done more for the US and the troops than anyone out there.
Good luck to ya Ted.

My mother lost a little brother to a brain tumor when she was a little girl. I hate to see anyone go through this, my prayers go out to the Senator.

Sounds like the Kennedy clan will be reunited soon.
Prayers for as peaceful, pain and panic-free passing for Edward as possible under the circumstances.

Althoough I have said prayers for Senator Kennedy and his family, I have prayed longer and more ardently for our own Jim Robinson.
Perhaps that makes me less of a Christian than I should be. I'm not going to put a meter on it. Of course we feel more urgency for our friends. But I also try to remind myself that, if I'm in the right place, prayer can make my enemy my friend.
I might add that it appears that many of the prayers lifted up for Jim Robinson seem to have been answered. Thank you, God.

Let me add my prayers, as humble as they be, for the Senator. He is a great and steady voice in the tumult of American politics.

Jesus said that it's easy to forgive people who have been kind to you. He expects you to forgive those who (shall we say) are not necessarily your friends, also.
Prayers for Senator Ted and his family.
Speaking for myself, if I had been raised by Joe Kennedy AND had lost an older brother in the war AND had my next two older brothers assassinated I probably wouldn't have turned out as well as Ted.
Speaking for myself, mind you.

"Matthew 5:44-47 (NKJV) But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? "Thank you.

Thank you. A very appropriate lesson for this thread.

This is a tough thread to post on. Every day, every hour, there are people who get read a prognosis far worse than that of the senior Senator from Massachusetts. Where are the public prayers from them? Where would our days start if every day we prayed for G-d to consider those who suffer unknown, or alone? Yet here it is almost as if we are demanded to pray for the famous ... even the ones who have harmed us, ones whom have been a constant sore to all.
Still ... here's a prayer for them all, the famous and infamous, the lonely and the acclaimed -- whoever is sick, may they be healed, may the Healing Be Complete For All, of soul and of body. Please heal Senator Kennedy!

Gracious Lord, we pray in your sovereign mercy that you would reveal yourself in a mighty way to Senator Kennedy and his family, and that they would experience your grace in a manner that redounds to your glory, and that reveals your nature and power unto millions who do not now know you.

Thanks for the thread. I missed the pulled theads BUT can only imagine.. the lack of sympathy etc.
I have been POd with Sen Kennedy - more than happy - but I know revenge is not mine.. His day of reckoning before the throne of grace & judgment will come & the fact he was rich & an influential US senator really wont matter. Neither will most other things.
I pray for his treatment and for his family & friends that love him.. He hopefully will have enough time to reflect honestly & come to terms with the afterlife, which I do believe he embraces intellectually but has been too busy to consider
