Although I disagree with his politics, he is a creation of God as we all are. I pray that God is with his family and with him during this difficult time.
Having lost my grandfather to brain cancer in 1984 I understand what the Kennedy family may be facing in the days/weeks to come. I offer my prayers for Senator Kennedy and his family as this ordeal is one I would not wish on anyone.
SoldierDad
Lord Jesus, you died for every last one of us. You didn’t die for us because we were already holy...you died for us because we are not. You had all of us you created on your mind that day they took you up that horrible hill and the day you laid down your life. Now as Senator Kennedy faces this trial I pray you will draw him to yourself. Let him know who you are, let him find forgiveness (as well all require it) through repentence and an awareness of what you did for him, and Lord, please be with his family. I pray these things in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
After my mother died and my father lost both legs to diabetes shortly after that event, I asked my dad how it is he is not angry with God...and his reply was that he viewed this upsetting turn of events as God’s way of “ Fitting him for Heaven”. He lived with this for 5 years before he died.
I hope that for the Kennedy family that they will be blessed with strength as they face this and that in some way they too can find the strength my dad found.
When I face difficulties (right now my husband’s heath issues..stroke... I try to keep this in mind. It was the best advice I have ever received but not always easy to live.
May the Lord God be with the Kennedy family in these days ahead and guide them in all the decisions they face.
Amen.
Somebody said it so well upthread: God loves Teddy Kennedy.
NIZHÓNÍGO JOOBA DITTS A
YISDÁSHÍÍTÍNÍGÍÍ
LAH YÓÓÍÍYÁ KAD SHÉNÁHOOSDZIN,
DOO EESHÍÍ DA NTÉÉ.
God Bless and be with Sen. Kennedy and the Kennedy Family. Prayers.
God, please bless Sen. Kennedy, in Jesus Christ.
Thank-you for setting up this special thread. God Bless.
I had a tumor removed from my brain when I was a little boy, about thirty years ago... It was a horrible experience that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy...
You are right about that. Ted is the only one of his four male siblings to live past the age of 46. The eldest, Joe Jr., died in 1944 in WWII at the age of 29. Jack and Bobby were both assassinated at ages 46 and 42, respectively. Prayers to Senator Kennedy and his family.
Let’s not lower ourselves to the level the liberals do when one of their opponents dies or suffers some kind of tragedy. We know (and behave) better than that.
Senator Kennedy certainly has a lot (and I mean A LOT) of political, ideological, and moral baggage behind him, but what he is going through is no cause for anyone to rejoice over. We offer our prayers to him and his family, and may his illness give him some time to reflect on what his life has been and make amends before that inevitable call from God. What we ask for him is what we should expect from ourselves; without exception, God will hold all of us accountable for what we did or didn’t do.
Prayers for Senator Kennedy and his family.
May God Bless and show Mercy to Ted Kennedy.
I pray for all who are afflicted with this, including Sen. Kennedy. My friend Dave was diagnosed with a malignant glioma just a couple of weeks ago. They did surgery on him, thinking it was a benign brain tumor, and were surprised to discover it is a malignant glioma. He is now starting radiation and chemo. Dave is a good man, a smart man, a sweet man. Please keep him in your prayers as well. He has a wife who is very dependent on him, and I don’t know what she will do if she loses him.
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.
When weve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
Weve no less days to sing Gods praise
Than when wed first begun.
