This just proves the fact that the majority of our legilators are lawyers and can only think the way that lawyers think. Is there any wonder that we are in the mess that they have created?
Actually Rep Kagan is a dermatologist! He is an embarassment to my state, but heck, I have Rep Sensenbrenner representing me. Another of our embarassments in Congress, Gwen (my son is a tire slasher) Moore, was on the news yesterday claiming that since Congress got the President to stop filling the Strtegic Petroleum Reserve, it would lower the price of gas a quarter or so. Today, oil at all time highs, and Gwen is out campaigning for Obama.
Exactly. Others have similar opinions on this thread but yours pretty much sums it up. When I have to worry if I took a green *hit this morning instead of a brown one, while I can’t keep up with the bills we know we have real issues to solve within our government.
The House action beggars belief. There is no hope here.
I’ve often thought that so many representatives being lawyers is part of the problem. We need to have other occupations widely represented. Not sure how we get to that result though.
