The government's policies raise suspicions and fear in the immigrants' home countries and disturb potential recruits here who might otherwise want to help.

If our side scares them more than the thugs in their midst then how can we depend on the information they provide? There have been problems with double agents. Undercover work is a dangerous job. If they cannot trust the government they serve, then can they themselves be trusted?

The problem is that they are looking at the wrong immigrants. There are plenty of Christian and Jewish immigrants from Arab countries, Iran, and Pakistan willing to work as translators. The government refuses to hire them, claiming that only moslems can understand the cultures of those countries.

Instead, our government is struggling to find moslems willing to betray the umma and assist an infidel state. There is no way that will ever happen.
