When history is written, it will find President Bush as one of the greatest President of this century, if not all times. No matter what the left and the republican Bush bashers say

You better be the one writing the history.

Ignoring and exacerbating the immigration situation (especially after the free hand he was given on 9/11) is an inexcusable guffaw. I could go on, but that one thing there is enough to torpedo your incredible claim.

Greatness as defined in a president's term is something, IMO, you can hang a legacy on; i.e.:
Eisenhower--The interstate highway system and the atomic age.
Kennedy--The Space Race takes off, faces down the Russians in Cuba.
LBJ--Civil Rights legislation, but ruins his presidency in Vietnam.
Nixon--the opening of China then ruined his presidency with Watergate.
Ford--the restoration of government after Watergate.
Carter--(nothing really substantial but I suppose you have to give him the Israeli/Egyptian peace accord.)
Reagan--Good God! He ended the Cold War, began SDI, expanded space exploration, restored a disastrous economy, the list is too numerous for this bandwith.
"Read My Lips" Bush--he pulled a stalemate out of an overwhelming Iraqi victory and lost an election to a two-bit huckster from Arkansas.
Clinton??? (cannot think of one thing except allowing terrorism to grow while presiding over a pretty good economy)
"Mission Accomplished" Bush??? (Did respond after 9-11, but squandered the good will of a united nation by refusing to employ overwhelming force in a two-front war and ran up a huge deficit while presiding over record energy prices).

I think history will be kinder to him than the general opinion fed to us by the MSM today.

Record boom...enriching homeowners and small business. No attacks post September 11th, 2001.

That should be enough to get a B+...you'd think? But as Billy says..."But wait, there's more!!"

He also removed, with years of UN involvement, a dictator who had used WMDs on his own people and had nuclear ambitions. And was a friend and funder of terrorists. In that act, he freed 25 Million people from rape rooms and shredders.

So...he's a A+, baby!

He also restored dignity to the Office. Thank you Mr. President.
PS: Oh...and he loves baseball! ;^)

I agree with your post. There are angles that in current time will appear quite differently in the future when the past, or rather-history, is summed.
