I see two possibilities: They are lining up an independent run, in which feminist voters may give them a plurality in a 3 or 4 way field; or they expect Obama to be removed from the race one way or another.
If they had any more good dirt on him, they would have played it by now so they are either waiting for another scandal, one that has not quite ripened yet, or they expect something else.
