This won’t last long.
Animal rights activists are even now preparing plans to file suit to halt the use of these devices because their low frequency emanations interfere with the natural behavior of the North American Road Hog.
These animals are not currently endangered and are arguably OVER-populated in the United States. They are indigenous to every state in the union. But the Animal rights folks want to act on this one BEFORE there is a problem.
Personally, I consider the Road Hog to be a nuisance species and I’d like to see every one of them eradicated; but you know how those animal lovers are....

"I live on a thoroughfare and recently I'm often woken up by a noise that made me think the apartment is getting attacked by a sea monster," wrote one commentator on the blog Universal Hub. This made me smile. I wouldn't want to have it happen to me, but it presented a funny mental picture.

I don’t suppose the police could just enforce the existing noise ordnances and shut down the subwoofers.

Why not make a remote control device that can disconnect the ignition? Make it standard on all new cars and mandatory on all current vehicles. The police would be issued the remotes. To ease the pain and suffering of the poor, just issue government coupons to cover the unit and installation.

Members of Noise Free America, a national organization dedicated to reducing noise, have bemoaned the new technology. If they are so concerned about too much noise, why don't they campaign to shut up the deaf drivers who play static at 150 decibels?
I'm still waiting for the next billionaire who invents a way to fry those doofuses' amplifiers by remote control...
Just saying
