I know Obama is getting record crowds, estimated as high as 75,000 in Portland, OR. But is curiosity the same thing as support? Are these massive crowds going to vote en masse?
Obama is a draw, but is he selling liberalism like never before or are liberals simply coming out like never before? Given some of his more ludicrous statements one has to wonder how many Americans are ready for his hard core liberal stances:
Pitching his message to Oregons environmentally-conscious voters, Obama called on the United States to lead by example on global warming, and develop new technologies at home which could be exported to developing countries.
We cant drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK, Obama said.
Thats not leadership. Thats not going to happen, he added.
SInce when is leadership kowtowing down to the worlds biases (usually generated by a malicious and liberal news media)? America is not killing the planet. As I noted in another post if you look at where the global warming IS, it is not over the American continents - it is over Asia where most of the human population lives.

Any assumption that a "North American Union" will take two or three decades to complete is just that, an assumption, and not necessarily valid... I believe that it will occur sooner than that...
the infowarrior
That is outstanding.....
No bacon and eggs, how vabout termite eggs and cockroaches sauteed in butter?
Ernie. Mail me a bucket of hot San Diego air so I can defrost my toes. Seriously. The mid and upper east coast have had a cold wet spring. I hope we don’t have any hot spells as most years this summer. We don’t get any cooling effects from the ocean in my area, so once the hot stuff arrives it can get very brutal under high humidity conditions.
This guy, Barack Hussein Obama, is an absolute kook.
No, Please do not insult ABSOLUTE kooks — they are much smarter!!
Report is that the high pressure is leaving the area,...likely moving East.
Don't you know there's GLOBAL WARMING on this planet?? It was much colder yesterday* *yesterday in the timetable of the earth (the last ice age).
He has plans of redistributing our money to the world.
Just when I throw up my hands in despair at the thought of McCain as the Republican nominee, B. Hussein reminds us all that he's a Marxist. It's like choosing between death by a thousand cuts or lethal injection.
He has plans of redistributing our money to the world.
They were counting the people in the boats, I've heard!

Obama, Hagel, Cantwell, Smith Hail Committee Passage of the Global Poverty Act
Wednesday, February 13, 2008
The Global Poverty Act:
Declares it official U.S. policy to promote the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal of cutting extreme global poverty in half by 2015.
Requires the President to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to carry out that policy.
Includes guidelines for what the strategy should include - from aid, trade, and debt relief, to working with the international community, businesses and NGOs, to ensuring environmental sustainability.
Requires that the President’s strategy include specific and measurable goals, efforts to be undertaken, benchmarks, and timetables.
Requires the President to report back to Congress on progress made in the implementation of the global poverty strategy.
The legislation is supported by a broad range of groups, including Bread for the World, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, CARE, Oxfam America, Habitat for Humanity International, National Wildlife Federation, Sierra Club, United Church of Christ, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Borgen Project, United Methodist General Board of Church and Society, RESULTS, Micah Challenge USA, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
The Ultimate Agenda:
Why arent people talking about the Global Poverty Act (S. 2433)?
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senators Barack Obama (D-IL), Chuck Hagel (R-NE), and Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Congressman Adam Smith (D-WA) today hailed the Senate Foreign Relations Committees passage of the Global Poverty Act (S.2433), which requires the President to develop and implement a comprehensive policy to cut extreme global poverty in half by 2015 through aid, trade, debt relief, and coordination with the international community, businesses and NGOs. This legislation was introduced in December. Smith and Congressman Spencer Bachus (R-AL) sponsored the House version of the bill (H.R. 1302), which passed the House last September.
SNIP
The Scarey part of the bill is this:
In addition to seeking to eradicate poverty, that declaration commits nations to banning small arms and light weapons and ratifying a series of treaties, including the International Criminal Court Treaty, the Kyoto Protocol (global warming treaty), the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The Millennium Declaration also affirms the U.N. as the indispensable common house of the entire human family, through which we will seek to realize our universal aspirations for peace, cooperation and development.
Hey. I only wanted a bucket full. Not a few trillion tons of hot air.
I suspposedly there was free beer too.
Hmm.. then of course LIBERALS would be there — it’s ‘FREE’!!
Jimmuh redux.
