Whose God?

Thomas Jefferson envisioned dividing counties into wards, little republics, which addresses your concern.

"My proposition [to divide every county into wards and to establish in each a free school] had for a further object, to impart to these wards those portions of self-government for which they are best qualified, by confiding to them the care of their poor, their roads, police, elections, the nomination of jurors, administration of justice in small cases, elementary exercises of militia; in short, to have made them little republics, with a warden at the head of each, for all those concerns which, being under their eye, they would better manage than the larger republics of the county or State. A general call of ward meetings by their wardens on the same day through the State, would at any time produce the genuine sense of the people on any required point, and would enable the State to act in mass." --Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, 1813. well, i'm not sure how you effectively counter a "neutralized" debate, but...

we can just go on saying what's true, whether it's allowed or not.

So you wish to divide up the U.S. into religious ghettos?

So you wish to divide up the U.S. into religious ghettos?

You either missed or ignored Jefferson's point about wards.

In today's terms, it would be up to a given community to decide how its local, taxpayer-financed public resources would be used for religious purposes. A mixed-faith community, for example, may decide that none of its public resources should used for religious purposes.

On the other hand, there is nothing unconstitutional if an all Christian community, for example, decides to have Bible classes in its local, taxpayer-financed pubic schools.

And I’ll stop sweating and believe we’re finally rid of these swine when she cries and gives her concession speech. Not one second before. The jury’s far from out with me, it was a stupid idea (KAOS).

Oh for-, will you drop it? So, you’re such a rabid smoker-hater, you’re saying that smokers are such swine that it instantly disqualifies you for public office? Chelsea Clinton, Laura Bush, and the Bush Daughters all smoke and drink. Many adult people choose to.

Watching the thing with his wife this morning, I was struck by the thought that, if this guy is elected president, even liberals will get sick of his ass pretty quick.

He, and his wife, seem like really odious human beings. Like a Carter redux.

I’ll talk about all of the above, who’s going to stop me?

They left out his commie cousin in Kenya that he supports along with money.

Let’s just all say that we are racists. That way there doesn’t need to be any more studies and we can freely live our lives without wondering if we just said something that could be classified as racist.

In this day and age, absolutely anything you can say on just about any subject, no matter how benign, can, and will be, construed as racist...........
