Makes you wonder if Ms. Jessop isn’t even nuttier than the FLDS.

Why is that? The child was brought up FLDS plain & simple. Its what she knew & what she believes. When she became of age she went back to her faith. I don't find that odd in the least myself. Freedom of choice...The Amish let their children have rumspringa where they go out into the English world to see what it is like. Many return to the church. Maybe the daughter just preferred the FLDS way of life. If I recall she was the one who did not want to leave & said she belonged to the Prophet. Somebody correct me if I am wrong please!

First, Carolyn Jessop was on the run, hiding from her husband and his loyal followers. No doubt she suffered, no doubt her husband is just an abusive person.

Later, she went across the country, establishing centers to help other escapees.

She wrote a book. Appeared at signing parties, promoted her book on tours.

That her daughter might choose to turn to something that all her ‘relatives’ were still involved in, where she would feel secure, and not be dragged around the country, makes sense.
