and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK," Obama said.

Do any normal people give a rat's ass about what other countries think?

I never keep my house at 72 in winter I kept it at 76.

My truck gets 10 mpg around town.

And I don’t give a rats ass what the other countries think about it.

Because I’m cheap I keep my house at 67 in the winter and 76 in the summer, because I don’t want to get fat I don’t eat everything I want to and because I hate stopping to get gas I drive a Ford Escape Hybrid.

I could care less what other countries think of me. What I do is because it’s what I want to do.

OH, so now the Libs, excuse me, Socialists are going to try and tell us what we can and can’t do to a larger extent?

Next they will change the Constitution from “WE THE PEOPLE” to “WE THE GOVERNMENT”

Folks, if this doesn’t scare you...I mean even the thoughts or rhetoric, then all we have fought for, worked for, lived for means nothing.

And what of those that don’t have SUVs or keep our thermostats above 68 now? And while my family has enough food to eat, our gardening and hunting, sales shopping and casseroles contribute greatly to that. His comment sounds so elitist.

Sorry Barry O but I’ll drive what I want, eat what I want, and live where I want. He sounds like he should be running for the Supreme Soviet instead of the presidency.

He also attacked McCain's plan for a gas tax holiday to cope with rising pump prices, which Clinton supports, as well as his other environmental plans, saying the Republican had consistently opposed fuel efficiency standards.

"For him to come to Oregon as an environmental president, but his big strategy is to do more drilling and to have a gas tax holiday for three months, that's a phony solution," he said.

Once again the MSM puts Obama in the limelight to say something about an issue, taxes in this example, without expecting Obama to state a real bottom line. But why don't we seize the opportunity provided by the MSM's deification of Obama to permanently de-claw the IRS?

This post (<-click), while addressing taxes, helps to explain why government "leaders" like Obama are actually in contempt of the Constitution that they have sworn to defend, foolishly following in the footsteps of FDR's dirty federal spending politics. In fact, the article referenced below shows that Obama is the #1 federal spending proposer in the Senate for '08; Clinton is #2.

Obama, a big-shot federal spender
The people need to reconnect with the Founder's division of federal and state government powers. The people then need to wise up to the major problem that the federal government is not operating within the restraints of the federal Constitution, particularly where constitutionally unauthorized federal spending is concerned.

The bottom line is that the people need to send big-shot, Constitution-ignoring federal spenders like Obama home as opposed to trying to send people like him to the Oval Office. The people need to get in the faces of the feds, demanding a stop to constitutionally unauthorized federal spending while appropriately lowering federal taxes - or get out of DC.

Now, that’s a winning platform if I ever heard one. How about Hussein Obama recommending that we can’t have freedoms as in the past; we can’t travel as much as we have in the past; we can’t keep our current standard of living. In fact, he can run on the Liberal DemoRAT platform of Americans living like a “third-world” Muslim country. He and his radical wife, however, will exempt their royal selves from that along with the Liberal elected human waste in DC. Americans living in third-world county standards is the express intent of DC elitist politicians and intended for the American voter (aka peons and serfs).

Time for a second Boston Tea Party where elected morons are thrown out of office or recalled ASAP.

Here's a suggestion -- for you -- Senator Obama.

You should stop -- IMMEDIATELY!! -- using any fossil fuels.

You and your entire entourage can campaign all over the 50 (or is it 57?) states on bicycles and on foot.

When I see that happen, Senator Obama, then I know YOU really believe the nonsense you spout.

The concept that we shouldn’t be comfortable in our own homes...that our bellies shouldn’t be full...that we shouldn’t drive the cars that appeal to us...

all so that others will like us (as if they would really appreciate the sacrifice, as if it would ever be enough to gain their approval)...

is nothing more than an adolescent manipulation. Outside approval is important for adolescents, but not for adults.

I refuse to lower my expectations of American’s future well-being and contentment!

This from the leader of "party of choice." Choice, the most fundamental human freedom!

Except in driving your car, eating food, heating your house, and basically every human activity other than killing your fetus.

I hate this bastard for any number of reasons, including making me have to vote for McCain.

Seems like a good time to quote from my home page....

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.” CS Lewis
