Harkin is a pussy.
Personally I don't believe they will be able to uncover anything, that isn't already old news, of any substance on McCain
Red Tom, who has dedicated his political career to turning this country into a socialist (ie totalitarian - for our own good, of course) paradise has good reason to fear those who’ve dedicated themselves - put their lives on the line - to *preserving* Democracy and the American Way......

Shortly after taking office in 1985, Kerry and Senator Tom Harkin of Iowa went on a fact-finding trip to Nicaragua, where they met with Daniel Ortega (right) and other Sandinistas. The trip was criticized when the Sandinistas cemented ties with Moscow.

The Real Story Behind Rev. Wright's Controversial Black Liberation Theology Doctrine
Monday , May 5, 2008
FoxNews/Hannity's America
[special Friday night edition--original airdate May 2, 2008]
(some key excerpts)
JOSE DIAZ-BALART, TELEMUNDO NETWORK: "Liberation theology in Nicaragua in the mid-1980's was a pro-Sandinista, pro-Marxist, anti-U.S., anti-Catholic Church movement. That's it. No ifs, ands, or buts. His church apparently supported, in the mid-'80s in Nicaragua, groups that supported the Sandinista dictatorships and that were opposed to the Contras whose reason for being was calling for elections. That's all I know. I was there.
I saw the churches in Nicaragua that he spoke of, and the churches were churches that talked about the need for violent revolution and I remember clearly one of the major churches in Managua where the Jesus Christ on the altar was not Jesus Christ, he was a Sandinista soldier, and the priests talked about the corruption of the West, talked about the need for revolution everywhere, and talked about 'the evil empire' which was the United States of America."
REV. BOB SCHENCK, NATIONAL CLERGY COUNCIL: "it's based in Marxism. At the core of his [Wright's] theology is really an anti-Christian understanding of God, and as part of a long history of individuals who actually advocate using violence in overthrowing those they perceive to be oppressing them, even acts of murder have been defended by followers of liberation theology. That's very, very dangerous."
SCHENCK: "I was actually the only person escorted to Dr. Wright. He asked to see me, and I simply welcomed him to Washington, and then I said Dr. Wright, I want to bring you a warning: your embrace of Marxist liberation theology. It is contrary to the Gospel, and you need, sir, to abandon it. And at that he dropped the handshake and made it clear that he was not in the mood to dialogue on that point."

Obama's Church: Gospel of Hate
Kathy Shaidle, FrontPageMag.com
Monday, April 07, 2008
In March of 2007, FOX News host Sean Hannity had engaged Obamas pastor in a heated interview about his Churchs teachings. For many viewers, the ensuing shouting match was their first exposure to "Black Liberation Theology"...
Like the pro-communist Liberation Theology that swept Central America in the 1980s and was repeatedly condemned by Pope John Paul II, Black Liberation Theology combines warmed-over 1960s vintage Marxism with carefully distorted biblical passages. However, in contrast to traditional Marxism, it emphasizes race rather than class. The Christian notion of "salvation" in the afterlife is superseded by "liberation" on earth, courtesy of the establishment of a socialist utopia.

From "45 Communist Goals":
#27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion.

Neville Chamberlain as I recalled did not serve in the military while Winston Churchill did. History has a way of repeating.
More evidence of the moral corruption of the DhimmiRat party, and the Liberal platform.
These people sicken me.
Harkin says he flew combat missions in Vietnam and he was never near the Country. In fact he was a Ferry Pilot, never in combat. I think I spelled Ferry correctly.
This is the same Tom Harkin who flew toe to toe against North Viets over Hanoi (snort)...
IF Harkin is talking about YESTERDAY’S warriors, he is spouting Bravo Sierra.
IF, however, he’s talking about some — not all, but SOME like the muzzie who fragged a tent full of officers a few years back — of the foreign nationals our alleged “leaders” are pulling into the U.S. military to fill out the ranks of a deeply stressed organization, he may have a point. (Beside the one atop his little head.)
...Harkins wife Ruth, whom he met when both were studying law at Catholic University, moved from the powerful law firm of Vernon Jordan and Robert Strauss Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLC in 1993 when appointed by President Bill Clinton as chairman and CEO of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). At OPIC she facilitated deals with Clinton Commerce Secretary Ron Brown.
Ruth Harkin appears to have played a role in President Clintons seizure of low-sulfur coal lands in Utah that gave a potential $1 trillion in assets to the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army and the Indonesia-based Lippo Industries, which control the worlds only other major deposits of this kind of coal used by U.S. power plants. These foreign entities funneled huge amounts of money to the Clintons and to the Democratic Party.
While Ruth Harkin ran OPIC for President Clinton, it channeled $748 million to Democratic Party benefactor Enron Corporation as well as billions to her law firms clients in Russia. She also directed $65 million to military contractor United Technologies, which hired her as Senior Vice President and head of its Washington office in 1997.
She also became a director of the oil company Conoco and, in the wake of its 2002 merger, of Conoco Phillips. (In June 2001 the Des Moines Register reported that Senator Harkin inadvertently omitted $200,000 in Conoco stock owned by his wife and another $15,000 of this stock owned by one of his two daughters.)
In 2003 and 2004 the leftwing populist Tom Harkin was again echoing the line of his comrades at the Institute of Policy Studies, blaming oil companies as a prime reason for President Bushs intervention in Iraq....

According to the article, people with a military background are not to be trusted.
According to another leftist line, anyone without military experience (chickenhawk) has no right to express an opinion about military matters.
