I'm kind of glad this spring has been cool. It seems like it has been a long time since we've had a real, extended spring, not the usual two weeks between blizzard and scorching.
I left DC/Philly for Seattle in 2001. I was amazed at how low key it was to live there. There isn’t much crime; I didn’t see graffiti all over like in Philly. At the end of my doctoral program my family wanted me to come back east. No.way.in.hell.
I landed in Iowa and have been living an American life with people who still have American values. It’s been wonderful - tho they are the folks who gave you Obama. Can’t win them all.
I’m looking for an abandoned missile silo to reside in.
“You got that right. In my part of the liberal cespool called Michigan, homes selling for $30,000 or less and homes in the above $400,000 range are selling. The homes between are glutting the market and not selling.”
4 years ago my house was appraised at $155K and right now, at this very moment, the house right next door to me is listed at $62.5K. My house is slightly bigger, but overall I am in a cookie cutter bungalow neighborhood. I’d panic, but I am working Dave’s FPU plan, so I’m not to frenzied. ;-)
“The idiot liberals wanted a female communist in the governors chair and they got it.”
Don’t worry, they are still blaming President Bush. The idiots blame him for everything and will never hold their local leadership accountable.
“Im suprised to see Charlotte come in ninth.”

Amazing considering the fact that some outfit called “Relocate America” or something similiar just picked Charlotte as the BEST city in the country to move to. I guess these ratings just don’t really mean a whole lot, do they?
