Obama Accuses McCain of 'Fear Peddling'

THE WASHINGTON TIMES - In a preview of the sharp foreign-policy jabs expected in the general election, Sen. Barack Obama charged that Republican Sen. John McCain is "fear peddling" when criticizing his desire to talk directly with U.S. adversaries.

Mr. Obama, using his dust-up with the White House to rally Democrats, linked Mr. McCain to the unpopular President Bush, accusing them of "bluster," and told South Dakota voters, "They are trying to scare you."

The prohibitive frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination said the Republican campaign line that he would negotiate with terrorist groups is false.

"I have been adamant about not negotiating with Hamas, a terrorist organization that has vowed to destroy Israel and won't recognize them," Mr. Obama said, adding: "They are not telling the truth."

The campaign of Mr. McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, responded that Mr. Obama had gone off on a "hysterical diatribe," especially since Mr. Bush had not specifically referred to Mr. Obama by name in his Thursday speech to the Israeli Knesset in which he derided the concept of negotiating with "terrorists."

Mr. McCain told National Rifle Association members in a speech yesterday he welcomes a debate about "protecting America," but admonished his probable rival: "He should know better."

"Senator Obama claimed all I had to offer was the 'naive and irresponsible belief' that tough talk would cause Iran to give up its nuclear program," the Arizona Republican said. "I have some news for Senator Obama: Talking, not even with soaring rhetoric, in unconditional meetings with the man who calls Israel a 'stinking corpse' and arms terrorist who kill Americans will not convince Iran to give up its nuclear program. It is reckless to suggest that unconditional meetings will advance our interests."

Excellent word choice. Obama projects a non masculine image

McCain was being tortured by the North Vietnamese while Obama was not too far away in Indonesia reciting the Koran and Muslim prayers

--[3] After her divorce, Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, and the family moved to Soetoro's home country of Indonesia in 1967, where Obama attended local schools

--McCain was shot down October 1967

Don’t fear him or anything that comes soon. Be ready to fight it.

Fear disables you.

This is off-topic, but concerns Obama.

Why don't we seize the opportunity provided by the MSM's deification of Obama to permanently de-claw the IRS?

This post (<-click), while addressing taxes, helps to explain why government "leaders" like Obama are actually in contempt of the Constitution that they have sworn to defend, foolishly following in the footsteps of FDR's dirty federal spending politics. In fact, the article referenced below shows that Obama is the #1 federal spending proposer in the Senate for '08; Clinton is #2.

Obama, a big-shot federal spender
The people need to reconnect with the Founder's division of federal and state government powers. The people then need to wise up to the major problem that the federal government is not operating within the restraints of the federal Constitution, particularly where constitutionally unauthorized federal spending is concerned.

The bottom line is that the people need to send big-shot, Constitution-ignoring federal spenders like Obama home as opposed to trying to send people like him to the Oval Office. The people need to get in the faces of the feds, demanding a stop to constitutionally unauthorized federal spending while appropriately lowering federal taxes - or get out of DC.

Democratic presidential front runner, Senator Barack Obama (Ill.) called Bush’s comments an “appalling attack on my ‘peace through concessions’ strategy for making America safe. Look, we can’t afford to get involved in a quarrel in a far-away country between people of whom we know nothing.” Obama pointed to the ten-year grace period for Jews to leave Palestine that former president Jimmy Carter negotiated with Hamas as an example of the type of agreement he would seek with “so-called terrorist regimes.”

“Mr. Obama had gone off on a “hysterical diatribe,”

He needs to go see his OB-GYN.
I think maybe his uterus is tilted.
