The solution lies in the transition to hydrogen and natural gas, and possibly alcohol and electric. The transition away from petroleum liquids will take 25 years, and is already underway in the fastest growing regions such as China.

We have enough coal, gas, oil, methane (politician's mouths and cow farts) to tide us over until he days hydrogen and nuclear are ready but we have politicians forcing us to go without energy or pay massive cost because they don't want us to have short to midrange solutions. The eco-terrorist are forcing their agenda down our throats ready or not and without any proof of their claims. The other day I heard a claim that the rain forest is deteriorating naturally because of global warming but I couldn't help to think that wouldn't it actually increase due to warmer temps and the increase in CO2.

No, actually I am not sorry, but you are still wrong. Yes, sometime in the future we will have to find alternatives and we should start now to find them but most of the so called alternatives are really not viable. We need, short term, and that may be a period of hundreds of years, to explore and drill for more oil, we need to build nukes, NOW, and to hell with the EPA and eviro rules. We need to build more refineries, NOW, and to hell with the EPA and enviro rules.
Anytime I read a comment from one of you guys(the "lets get off oil" guys)I can't help but think you are liberal plants or have a really, really low IQ.

The solution lies in the transition to hydrogen and natural gas..Where do we get a steady supply of hydrogen, and is it energy-positive when you calculate in the process of creating and transporting it?
As for natural gas, is it as portable and safe as diesel or gasoline?
