Senator, what’s it like to get smeared like this? You might want to go ask Mitt Romney who was also smeared on a timetable for Iraq, I think by somebody, a couple days before the Florida primary.

MMMMM, tasty!

When the Demagogues babble about timetables they are talking about withdrawal without regard to the status of the conflict or the consequences of defeat.

When McCain was talking about 2013 he obviously was predicating his discussion upon SUCCESS in Iraq. Thus, his belief has NOTHING to do with the cut-and-run policies advocated by the left.

Rush is right of course that McCain had better quickly get used to being viciously smeared and grossly misrepresented by the Demagogues and the MSM. He is media darling no longer now that he is going up against the Democrat Messiah rather than fellow Republicans.

Funny how McCain just stepped right into it. I didn’t think of it before, but the Dems just placed this speech into a file titled, “Open in 2013.”

So McCain has “integrity.”

Well, there’s no doubt about that.

Just what we need in the White House: a loon with integrity.

Well, two years ago the Democrats promised they’d have surrendered in Iraq by now. They haven’t.

They promised the economy would be booming. It’s barely limping.

They promised to raise people’s wages (remember the minimum wage and how everybody would be better off?) The latest report shows wages have actually DECLINED.

They promised cheaper gas. Gas was about $2.23 when they took over, it’s $3.75 today.

They promised fiscal responsibility. This is now the 2nd year in a row they haven’t even set a budget.

They promised to fix the “ethics” of the house and senate. They passed meaningless rules, the leadership actually overturned a recorded vote, They have leadership that had to step down because of investigations, and they’ve taken pork to new heights.

Now they are arguing they deserve to be re-elected.

I like McCain’s vision of 2013 much better than the reality of Democrats in charge of the entire government.

I have answered to fundraising letters:

Sorry, some A**H*le made some previously legal contributions illegal. I, for one will not risk it. I recommend sneaking into Mexico to pick fruit if you need money. Don’t get caught though. You will do serious jail time.

We all know what happens to people with a Messiah complex.

Good news today, Huckster took himself out of the VP pool with his Obama gun joke.

This is my recent letter in response to a fund raising letter from the Senator:

May 9. 2008

Dear Senator McCain:

I am so pleased to hear that you have lived a fulfilling life. So have I, thanks be to God, and his loving goodness.

I’ve been privileged to live in a free country, with a Constitution inspired by God and based on Biblical principles by men dedicated to the healthy endurance of our great sovereign nation.

I believe in LEGAL immigration, and the enforcement of laws on the books, including immigration laws. I believe in the building of Duncan Hunter’s double border fence, and the exoneration of Ramos and Compean, who are being held unjustly for doing their jobs.

As a life long Republican, I do not go along with left wing liberal Democrats, and would have preferred you’d adhered to Republican standards rather than “reaching across the aisle”. to compromise them. Unfortunately there is no longer a two party system in my country. And that can only spell tyranny.

I do not consider you a Conservative due to McCain-Feingold, which helped to sink my candidate in this presidential race; your stance on amnesty for illegal aliens which is against the will of the American people, and your liberal voting record in the Senate.

Having worked diligently on a volunteer basis, and contributed the near limit for and to a truely great statesman, Rep. Duncan Hunter, who bowed out of the race January 19 to my great dismay. I have exhausted funds, and would not be able to help you financially even if I chose to.

I voted for the lesser of two evils twice this century, and do not intend to do it again. When and if the Republican Party comes to terms with it’s former conservative base, I will return. Until it does, I no longer call myself a Republican, but a Conservative. I will vote the person best qualified to lead my country, not the party, I am not alone. Judging by your recent actions, I doubt that all this will cause you any distress, but it had to be said.

I weep for my precious country.

Sincerely

Has anyone ever considered that McCain is nothing but a closet democrat and whether he wins or not, the country still loses?

I heard comments about McCain saying in 2006 that he wants to negotiate with Hamas.
