That’s going to be a failed strategy. The obvious reason why Bush’s “approval rating” are low is that he does not engage his political opposition in any timely manner. The president lets months go by before he engages the Dems. And it’s obvious that McCain does not equal Bush. If Bush does hammer the Dems on a daily basis from now until the election, you will see his “approval numbers” jump 10 to 15% higher.
