Barack: This is only the beginning of a real ugly and painful campaign for you. Just warning you that presidential politics ain’t for the weak. Neither is American foreign policy.

Obama: "I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems, ....I will not weaponize space... I will slow development of future combat systems... I will institute a 'Defense Priorities Board' to ensure the quadrennial defense review is not used ..."

Then, there will be peace in our time without the evil republicans causing war!

My change is good for Muslims, Islamofascists, Black Racists, and Chrislims. $crew the Christians and real Jews!

If Obama thinks that his middle name will be an asset in the Middle East, it is only because he is a muslim himself. If he is anything else, then there are about a billion Muslims out there with a religious obligation to kill him for turning away from Islam. Why would Muslim leaders sit down and talk to someone that Mohammed ordered be put to death? They can’t do it, and Obama is a bigger idiot than anyone ever imagined if he thinks that he can talk with these people.

Hmm. Fascinating that this leftist yellow rag is willing to say this about Obama. Yes, it’s true, but they aren’t supposed to say it. It hits him where it really hurts.

Are they still hoping that hillary will win? Or are they genuinely worried about an Obama presidency?

Maybe the former, although they have taken a few shots at hillary, too, during the campaign.

Doesn’t Hussein translate to “destroyer”?

The trouble started when Hamas adviser Ahmed Yousef said, "We like Mr. Obama" and added, "we hope he wins the election." That's an endorsement, plain and simple.

They're not just endorsing him, they're actively campaigning for him.

An Arab American friend who worked as a translator in Iraq says that electing Barak Hussein would be very dangerous. Terrorists would be handed a Do Not Pass Go card, in effect. Terrorism would escalate beyond our wildest imaginings. Bearing the Hussein name means that he’s a member of a powerful clan in the eyes of Middle Easterners.

Thank you for posting the NY Daily News without excerpting! It’s also nice seeing the author, a liberal IIRC, taking Obama to task for wanting to have it both ways.

Thanks neverdem.
Obama's kumbaya foreign policy is dangerous. And his name, including the Hussein part, is fair game because Obama has declared it an international advantage. He can want it both ways, but he can't have it... Hamas adviser Ahmed Yousef said, "We like Mr. Obama" and added, "we hope he wins the election." That's an endorsement, plain and simple. When John McCain jumped in, promising to be Hamas' "worst enemy," Obama got huffy and accused McCain of "divisive fear-mongering." ...Consider what Obama says in an interview in the current Atlantic magazine... "It's conceivable that there are those in the Arab world who say to themselves, 'This is a guy who spent some time in the Muslim world, has a middle name of Hussein and appears more worldly and has called for talks with people, and so he's not going to be engaging in the same sort of cowboy diplomacy as George Bush,' and that's something they're hopeful about." He adds: "That's a perfectly legitimate perception as long as they're not confused about my unyielding support for Israel's security." ...While Obama stresses the importance of Israel to Jews, he also seems to parrot liberal nonsense that blames the entire Mideast conflict on Israeli settlements. He even links Israeli parents' concern for their children's safety to settlements, posing the question: "Is settlement policy conducive to relieving that over the long term, or is it just making the situation worse?" WRONG QUESTION. The right one is why should Israel or anyone else meet with Hamas, which won't recognize Israel's right to exist and fires rockets into civilian areas? Hamas' vow to destroy Israel has nothing to do with settlements or borders. One question has been answered, though. Now we know why Hamas prefers Barack Hussein Obama. He's told us himself.

This is off-topic, but concerns Obama.

Why don't we turn the MSM's deification of Obama into an opportunity to permanently de-claw the IRS?

This post (<-click), while addressing taxes, helps to explain why government "leaders" like Obama are actually in contempt of the Constitution that they have sworn to defend, foolishly following in the footsteps of FDR's dirty federal spending politics. In fact, the article referenced below shows that Obama is the #1 federal spending proposer in the Senate for '08; Clinton is #2.

Obama, a big-shot federal spender
The people need to reconnect with the Founder's division of federal and state government powers. The people then need to wise up to the major problem that the federal government is not operating within the restraints of the federal Constitution, particularly where constitutionally unauthorized federal spending is concerned.

The bottom line is that the people need to send big-shot, Constitution-ignoring federal spenders like Obama home as opposed to trying to send people like him to the Oval Office. The people need to get in the faces of the feds, demanding a stop to constitutionally unauthorized federal spending while appropriately lowering federal taxes - or get out of DC.
