Barack Obama accused President Bush of "a false political attack" Thursday after Bush warned in Israel against appeasing terrorists early salvos in a general election campaign that's already blazing even as Obama tries to sew up his party's nomination.
The White House denied Obama was Bush's target, but the Democratic presidential contender said the Republican president's intent was clear. John McCain, the likely GOP nominee, jumped in, too, using the opportunity to argue that Obama was showing "naivete and inexperience and lack of judgment" in his willingness to meet with U.S. foes.
...As the workday began stateside, Bush gave a speech to Israel's Knesset in which he spoke of the president of Iran, who has called for the destruction of the U.S. ally. Then, Bush said: "Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along."
"We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history," Bush added.

There was nothing false about it, Obamanation. You just don’t want anyone knowing the truth, oh Intolerant One.
Pretty sure the President was taking a jab at the Idiotic One, Jimmy Carter.
He just stepped on Obama’s toes.
How long before some Dem flack accuses GWB and McC of racism? Pass the popcorn please ........
He never mentioned your name Barry. You got a guilty conscience or what?
He should sue Bush for definition of character.
Hey, Barry, if the shoe fits........
Methinks BHO doth protest too much.
I actually saw the speech. Obama’s name, his status or rank, nor his capacity as a candidate were ever mentioned by the President.
He simply made the observation. The President made the observation about ‘some people’ and those people, of their own volition, stood and identified themselves at the tops of their voices.
How does he know W was not talking about Jimmy Carter? Nancy Pelosi? Seemingly he is a little paranoid....
Thinned skinned & transparent.
Throw a stone into a pack of dogs - the one that howled is the one that got hit.
Right. Now I hope the WH does not fall all over itself apologizing to any and all to the extent of their offendedness. I mean, after all, Dubya’s comments were a bit mealy-mouthed. He should have been a bit more pointed on exactly who he was talking about. It seems to have been intended for Boma, but they lack the guts to admit it. This may be Boma’s first foreign policy victory: B**ch slapping the CIC’s other cheek.
He didn’t accuse Obama of appeasement. I think he accused ALL of the liberals of it. Must have hit a nerve.
Obama Hussein Obama thought that the description that Bush gave sounded pretty much like him, so he yelped, even when his name was not metioned. He just may have rightly identified himself.
I would think it was against, Jimmy Carter but it shows, Barrack Husein Obama is of the same mind as he felt he had to say something.
Beautiful, my FRiend.

“Methinks BHO doth protest too much.”
A hit, a palpable hit. W deftly reminded the Jewish voting block what it gets with Obambi. The antisemitism of the left can’t be hidden.
W is good...really good.
