DeLay didn’t succumb to anything. The charges were/are baseless. It was just to get him to resign.
I didn't make myself clear. Delay did it right -- and paid the price. Other good people, since, have taken Delay's experience to heart and have learned to make as few waves as possible -- which is a shame.
