Could be. Me and a number of other merry FReepers have been engaged in a running battle with obvious PLA agents/plants who have tried to use this board to spread ChiCom propaganda as part of a much larger documented effort via online forums and blogs to sway American and world opinion to the PRC's position on a number of improtant issues, such as trade, Tibet, and the Olympics.

Most of the ChiCom/PLA operatives have been quite clumsy and easily identified, but some speak and write very fluent colloquial English and can be quite deceiving.

I understand that over the past couple of days that there has been a major influx of new sign-ups on FR from mainland China. So, please understand our suspicion, and don't take it personal if you are completely innocent.
