You are SOOO right! When I visited China after the Cultural Revolution, the women were pretty sad sacks; Mao suits and poor nutrition (food ration coupons were still required in 1979) didn’t help. Their antagonistic attitudes (courtesy of Communist indoctrination) didn’t win many of us over either.

Right after the visit to China, I went to Hong Kong; the young ladies there were definitely a sight for sore eyes.

Now that a lot of the Chinese gals have picked up on Western fashion and style, they look a heck of a lot better.
