Not only can they do wonders with prostheses these days, but many people are able to do things they could not do before when they get a prosthesis.
There is no indication that there is anything wrong with Jim's upper leg and hip.

Thank you Syncro, for validating my positive outlook. As you say, with the progress that has been made with “bionic” limbs, it seems to me that some people who can’t walk now, could be able to walk if they had two bionic legs.
