Obama and his Kentucky cross TRIBUNE-REVIEW By Salena Zito

Chris Brody, the senior national correspondent for Christian Broadcast Network (CBN), is reporting Sen. Barack Obama has a flier for next week’s primary contest in Kentucky that shows Obama standing with a substantial-sized cross to his left.

Brody writes that Obama “is making a direct appeal to evangelicals with fliers that mention his conversion experience and they highlight a big old cross. Remember (Gov.) Mike Huckabee’s supposed subliminal cross in his Christmas campaign ad? Well, Obama campaign ditches

That’s a HUGE gaffe...shouldn’t it be a combination of the Islamic Crescent and the Soviet Hammer & Sickle?

“Remember (Gov.) Mike Huckabee’s supposed subliminal cross in his Christmas campaign ad?”

Yes and I remember uber-liberals like Alan Colmes giving him a BIG ration of C-R-A-P about it, too.

I wonder what ol’ skull face will have to say about his man Obama’s use of the “cross” when he discusses it on tonight’s H&C show?

What? He doesn’t plan to mention it? Why that’s not like him at all. Alan is normally such a FAIR minded commentator.

“My faith tecahes me I can sit in church and pray all I want, but I won’t be fulfilling God’s will unless I go out and do the Lord’s work.”

This guy sounds like Jon Carry more and more. Every statement seems couched to deflect an anticipated claim of hypocrisy. Here, the fact that he didn’t attend his church much, if at all. He never answers that questions, I’ve seen Rev. Wright dodge, twice, the question whether he saw Obama at church.

It’s the same old double standard:

If a LIBERAL stands next to a cross it is an expression of his heart-felt faith.
If a CONSERVATIVE stands next to a cross he is shoving his Christianity down your throat.

If a LIBERAL has a bad temper he is “passionate about his ideals”.
If a CONSERVATIVE has a bad temper he is “mean spirited”.

Please add to the list as you see fit...

McCain might start to look sharp as a tac compared to Ovomit. In some people’s eyes.

“So, I have a deep faith. I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people, that there are values that transcend race or culture, that move us forward, and that there’s an obligation for all of us individually as well as collectively to take responsibility to make those values lived.” (snip)

He is saying, essentially, that all people of faith – Christians, Jews, Muslims, animists, everyone – know the same God. It is, perhaps, an unlikely theological position for someone who places his faith squarely at the feet of Jesus to take. But that depends on how you hear a verse from the Gospel of St. John, where Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me,” Obama says.

I went to the grocery store earlier today, and I heard two folks joking about the change Obama will bring. It was humor sarcastic toward “Obamma.”

This was a blue-collar neighborhood in southern Ohio.

Obama will lose Ohio. He will lose Kentucky.

A good chance he’ll lose either Penn or Mich or both.

I think he’s toast.

Don't be deceived... anyone that supports abortion is not a Christian. I don't care how many crosses he has on a brochure.
And the so-called church he attended for 20 years, spewed a constant barrage of hate and disharmony which is in direct opposition to what Jesus taught.

Clue: By their fruits you will know them.

I detect a rotten apple for sure.

FAITH. HOPE. CHANGE.

So, we see now that "Love" has been replaced as one of the cardinal virtues by "Change"... Must be from the Book of Jeremiah (W)
