Republicans Impatient with House Leadership

After losing their third special election loss in recent weeks, Mike Allen says there are "whispers among some House Republicans" about trying to replace Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) with Rep. Tom Davis (R-VA), "who was NRCC chairman from 1998 to 2002."

In addition, Allen says House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) "also has to watch his back" since House conservatives are "especially restive."

Cole, as Marc Ambinder notes, pushed the panic button last night "warning his incumbents and challengers: change or die."

This should go well:

“He then spoke of the need to “re-brand” the party in the likeness of McCain” - Tom Cole

“November could be a bloodbath if Obama doesn’t hurt the Dems nationally.”

He will hurt them.

Don't be so sure. MS-01 is rock-ribbed Republican -- went for Bush by 25 points -- and the NRCC ran $1.5 million worth of ads linking the Democrat Childers to Obama and Jeremiah Wright. Yet we still lost last night by 9 points. I'm not under any illusions that Obama will win MS-01 -- he won't -- but he may not hurt Democrats on the underticket.

The RCC allows the locals to destroy each other or hand pick some corrupt local clown that controls the local RNC.....

there's no coherent/cohesive message to the voters from the Conservatives/GOP/Republicans....."too many cooks, cooking the stew / soup"
keep it simple, stupid....

It’s not just AK at-large, also WY at-large that may be lost.
