At some point, rest rooms will be mandated to be unisex stalls to accommodate all the various genders being claimed. Where does ‘’questioning’’ go?
Penn has been like that for decades (on a “volunteer” basis at the dorms).
Actually, at my school, they decided to be trendy and have ‘gender-neutral’ bathrooms, but that just consisted of taking down the signs on all the single-stall bathrooms around campus. It honestly didn’t make much of a difference, since they could only occupy one person at a time, so the gender designations were just ignored anyways.
This article made me think of a local restaurant that has brass plates with nudes on them on the restroom doors instead of signs that say ‘male’ and ‘female’ (and it really doesn’t come across as offensive cause the restaurant is decorated in a renaissance theme). No gender confusion there... it should be pretty darn obvious which one you belong in.
